Mohinder Watson is an independent social sciences researcher and public health professional advancing gender equality and women’s/girls’ rights through lived experience, evidence, and global policy. Since 2017, she has represented the International Council of Women at the UN in Geneva, engaging governments, agencies, academics, and civil society.
She led civil society coordination on violence against women across the UNECE region, presenting evidence to intergovernmental processes, and directed an NGO on child marriage and violence against women for a decade, advocating at CEDAW and the Human Rights Council. An international speaker and published author, she now also examines AI/emerging tech’s gendered impacts—including cyber violence—backed by ethical/responsible AI certifications.
